Ang bawat komunidad ay binubuo ng mga tao na may iba't-ibang hanapbuhay. Mayroong pulis, bumbero, guro, karpintero at doktor at iba pa na may mga tungkuling ginagampanan upang mapaglingkuran ang kanilang komunidad o pamayanan. Mga Bahagi ng Kwento

Ang maikling kwento ay mayroong tatlong salik o bahagi: ang Tauhan, Tagpuan, at Pangyayari. Sa pamamagitan ng mga ito naihahatid ng isang manunulat mga kwentong nabuo sa kanyang isip.

Ang Tauhan ang siyang nagdadala ng suliranin at nagiging basehan sa kung anong magiging takbo ng kwento. May tatlong dimensyon na naglalarawan sa isang tauhan. Iyon ay ang pisikal (pisikal na anyo ng mga tauhan), pisiyolohikal (estado sa lipunan ng tauhan) , at sikolohikal (mga paniniwala ng tauhan)

Ang Tagpuan naman ang lugar na pinangyarihan ng kwento. Ang kapaligiran kung saan naganap ang kwento ay nakakaapekto sa pakikipagtunggali at pagpapasiyang ginagawa ng mga pangunahing tauhan.

Ang Pangyayari ay ang mga mahahalagang kaganapan sa kwentong binasa.
