Adverbs Flashcards

What is an Adverb?

An adverb is a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb or a word group, expressing a relation of place, time, circumstance, manner, cause or degree. 

There are Five Types of Adverbs
1. Adverb of Degree
2. Adverb of Frequency
3. Adverb of Manner
4. Adverb of Place
5. Adverb of Time

What is Adverb of Manner? 
Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens. 

Examples of Adverb of Manner:
1. He swims well. 
2. He ran quickly. 
3. She spoke loudly. 
4. She smiles beautifully. 
5. She answered the questions carefully.
